Building a quality demo reel is one of the most important things you can do for your aerial business. People don't care about how much you spent on your drone equipment. They care about how good a footage or images you can deliver. Your demo reel is the best way to prove that you have what it takes to deliver great material to your clients.

When you're first starting out you'll have no paid work to show in your reel. You'll need to shoot personal work to build up a library of work that you can start building into a great demo reel. Take some time and find cool locations to film near where you live to start out with. Try to gather a good variety of camera moves and a variety of locations and lighting situations.

When you start getting some shots that you're proud of add them to your reel. It's important to only put your very best work into your reel and keep it short. One to three minutes is plenty long enough to demonstrate your abilities. It's a good idea to look at other people's demo reel to get inspiration and ideas for your demo reel. Take note of what you like and dislike and emulate the things that you like when building your reel. I've attached some links to some of my favorite aerial demo reels and videos for inspiration.
