In this video, I'm gonna give you a list of my top five favorite places to fly a drone to capture an aerial video.

Number one is the Matanuska Glacier in Alaska. Matanuska Glacier is the largest glacier accessible by car in the United States. Hiking this glacier was one of my favorite parts of my trip to Alaska. There's something indescribable about walking on the vast amounts of ice that make up this 27 mile long valley glacier. If you're going to explore this glacier, I recommend hiring a private tour guide. A guide can help show you the most interesting features of the glacier, and also ensure that you stay safe while navigating in and around the massive cervosses.

Number two is Hatcher's Pass, this is also in Alaska. This breath taking mountain pass is named after minor and prospector Robert Hatcher. The surrounding rock peaks and rolling hills make for studying vistas and providing dramatic to the now closed Independence Gold Mine.

Number three is the Osaka Castle in Japan. This castle is one of Japan's most famous landmarks and it's situated on a plot of land that's roughly 1 square kilometer and surrounded by a mote. There are small parks near most of the entrances to this castle that are a great place to launch your drone from to get a view of the castle. Flying over the mote ensures that you won't be flying over people, which is also a plus. And, the castle grounds can be quite busy with tourists during the day. So, it's important to stay safe and not fly over people.

Number four is the Maldives. The Maldives is a tropical nation in the India Ocean composed of 26 coral atolls, which are made up of hundreds of islands. It's known for its beaches, blue lagoons, and extensive reefs. When I was here, I stayed at the Four Seasons Resort, and they were happy to allow me to fly my drone as long as I was courteous to the other guests.

And, number five is Moab, Utah. Moab is a city in Grand County in eastern Utah, and it's known for its amazing red rock sandstone formations. The area is home to Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Of course, while flying a drone in a national park is currently prohibited, there are many locations near Moab that are regulated by the Bureau of Land Management and it's completely legal to fly a drone for non-commercial use and also for commercial use with a permit in these locations.

That's a quick look at my five favorite filming locations and we'll see you in the next video.
